1-2" in diameter, made with crochet thread stiffened with craft glue. The hardest part was finding appropriate stuffing material, but a shredded plastic bag works perfectly.

What are radiolarians? I'm assuming the plastic was just while they were drying? They look cool!

Baa-Me - yes, the plastic is just for drying...and cutting it up makes it easier to pull out with tweezers later!

Radiolarians are tiny protists that produce the most beautiful mineral exoskeletons: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radiolarian
