Crocheted radiolarians

1-2" in diameter, made with crochet thread stiffened with craft glue. The hardest part was finding appropriate stuffing material, but a shredded plastic bag works perfectly.

What are radiolarians? I'm assuming the plastic was just while they were drying? They look cool!

These are so cool and your Etsy shop is full of wondeful fun stuff too. Love the cuttlefish and muchrooms best.

Please come and showcase your work on Craft Pimp Forum http://www.craftpimp.co.uk/index.php/board,22.0.html

Baa-Me - yes, the plastic is just for drying...and cutting it up makes it easier to pull out with tweezers later!

Radiolarians are tiny protists that produce the most beautiful mineral exoskeletons: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radiolarian
